as clear as day
i saw the lines scratched into your face
with your hands held out
covered in sh*t and i turned away
i turned away

(chorus)
so rain on me
wash away the time for all to see
and cast your blame on me
i couldn't pull you up from the depths
i couldn't save you

*epic solo*

as time moves on
i hear your voice inside of every song
and day by day
it's always plain to see you were so much better than me
you were better than me

chorus

*'nother epic solo*

This seems like you intended it to be more of an 'epic guitar solo' song than a brilliant lyrical work. No offense intended by that, the words aren't bad or anything, far from it, they just aren't anything that has me jumping out of my seat. I did really like the line 'I hear your voice in every song', it was a bit refreshing compared to the rest of the lyrics.

^yeah. i think you're right. i think i kinda rushed it. my bass player and i had come up with the music and we needed lyrics for it fast (band competition coming up). thanks for the crits (this is obviously one that could use them). hehehe.
