definitely hard tail. with the floyd rose it is very difficult to keep changing tunings because you have to increase or decrease the pressure on the bridge each time.

What are some good EQ settings? I like Treb 6, Mid 5, Bass 6. I change it all the time though. What do you think Exodus uses?

most metal bands use a lot of bass and treble but not mids. put the treble and bass on about 7 and the mids on 4 and go from there. good luck.

yes. do you know the chorus of beast and the harlot? and excellent technique that I use to warm up. also, sweet child o' mine, even though it isn't technically sweeping, it is the same idea and is very easy to sweep. good luck, and tell me what you think.

kks, thanks :]

And yeah the beast and the harlot chorus isn't half bad for practising, makes your fingers work a bit.

I've justt been practising the same pattern when sweep-picking.

goes like this..

Tell me if it's any good once you've tried it, it's damn easy, but if you keep doing it over and over pretty fast it's an alright exercise.

yes, i think its pretty good. if you can, add another string on to that excercise. it will get harder, but the rewards will be great.

the intro to heretics and killers by protest the hero is great for learning how to sweep.

This, but with added rudeness. What use is a thread for the advice of a random kid?

^ I'm just waiting for someone to take over this thread and actually give helpful advice like SG_Thrasher did with the pinch harmonics thread...

I just dont understand how someone can just have a "metal seminar" on here....

I would love someone to have orignal licks and riffs to practice come on, and show some unique ways to practice.

P.S.

should such a person read this please, make a good intermediat/Advance legato lick please
