I have an avatar 4x10 8ohm cab and I originally planned on getting a 2x12 or a 15 to accompany it.

However, I started thinking about the realities of transportation of gear for shows; and it doesnt seem very realistic for me to take up a ton of room with 2 cabs.

Is there simple way I can change my cab from an 8ohm to a 4 so I can get the full wattage from my amp?

Thanks

Thats why I was asking if theres a simple way to change it or maybe an inexpensive way of having someone with the knowledge to do it.

It's almost certainly possible, and wouldn't be difficult for someone who has a basic knowledge of electronics to do.

Well basically what you would have to do is rewire the speakers from parallel to series or vice versa. However, I'm not too knowledgeable on this kinda stuff so I don't know if you can mix series and parallel in cabinets.
