Sorry I put another one of these up, I'm sure there's like 50 a day.

Well first off, my budget is 200$ tops.
Ill be micing my amp with a SM57, into the interface, into the computer.
I was looking at the PreSonus INSPIRE 1394 Fire-Wire Audio-Interface

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/PreSonus-INSPIRE-1394-FireWire-Audio-Interface?sku=241483

I've heard fire-wire is better than USB, so that's what led me to this one.
But, i have no idea whats best for recording my guitar.
I'm a recording NOOB.

The gear I'll be using to record with will be a:
AMP: TRAYNOR YCV50BLUE
GUITAR: Hagstrom super swede
Pedals: Boss DD7, Perhaps others, doesn't really matter.

Is this the interface for me, or is there better?
Any suggestions, comments?

Sure, it'll work. In your case, it doesn't matter if you use USB or Firewire, so if you have either port already on your computer, go for it. Firewire's advantage is when you use multiple microphones, as it can separate each signal into your computer.

Ok, so it might be good in the future if i want to record more than one instrument?

So there is NOTHING better for the money? Or did i make a good pick?
hahaha

Sure, unless you plan on playing the drums. Most people don't use more than two inputs at once.

And that interface is very solid for the money. There's really not much that's competitive (Art Dual Pre, Mackie Satellite) in its price range.
