Not the right place my friend
I want to go as far to the edge without going over. Out on the edge, you can see all kinds of different things.
#3
System of a Down have easy and catchy riffs. Same as Killswitch Engage.

*puts flame shield up*

Also, this may be the wrong section I suspect.

older System of a Down, some Disturbed, Deftones, Thrice, many of the generic metalcore bands like Killswitch and As I Lay Dying.

It's not Drop C? I thought it was.

I think it is. Bad song though >.>

Try some As I Lay Dying. The interlude from Forever always gets me right here *points where heart should be*.

'Beautiful death', and 'death and the healing', by wintersun.

Also, wrong section.

It was a joke, lol.

EDIT: Why don't you just tune to C Standard and play some old In Flames?

Of course I knew that >.> <.<.
To be honest the whole album was a joke though.

Some Three Days Grace stuff, A Day To Remember, As Blood Runs Black, Bullet For My Valentine. I think The Black Dahlia Murder's first album was in Drop C.

Bad Horsie by Steve Vai.
Not really metalcore, but it's awesome nonetheless.

The thing that killed it for me was Lars' drums sounding like trash can lids. Everything else on the album was fine, imo.

To each their own. Not exactly a huge old school metal fun to begin with though lol.

Oh and to TS also try some Necrophagist, everything is the same except bottom C string is tuned up to D.

If their music defines the genre, couldn't the music be seen as generic. Besides, I wasn't attacking metalcore, I was just saying that the metalcore that uses the tuning usually is the kind that has the "chugga" riffs with the screaming/singing format that bands like killswitch and AILD use. Other types of metalcore are more punk or thrash metal oriented and might not use the tuning. Sorry if I offended you somehow.

QOTSA also plays in C standard, and they have tons of awesome songs.

I think most Bullet for my Valentine songs are in drop c tuning. They're really good, I think.

Just ignore the cliched lyrics.

Here you go! I suggest Tears Don't Fall and 10 Years Today. Those are some of my favorite songs of theirs. XD

I think Mastodon does drop C. That or some other low tuning.
How I wish, how I wish

Had just one
THROAT
And my fingers were around it

Anything by System Of A Down or since you said ANYTHING in drop C...

*puts flameshield up* Mothersound by From First To Last, only thing by them that might actually take you more than a minute by them to learn to play on guitar.
