hi people ive been at the guitar 8months now and im tryin power chords, i downloaded some blurb from the net, somethings are confusing me, it states"they (root 5 chords, power chords) are popular because they can be moved all over the fret board, they are movable chords"does this mean that the same shape is used for different chords eg B5.G5...etc. or you can use this shape anywhere you like . it wasnt very clear

They use the same shape with their roots on the E, A and B strings; and have different shapes for roots on the D and G strings.

they work when the root note is on strings 6-4 and 2-1.Not on string 3(G).A powerchord on that string needs to have the other finger moved up one fret.
