I have a cheap Strat that I wish to turn into a single humbucker guitar. One volume, no tone, no pickup switch, nothing extra.

As I believe, you would simply solder the proper wires to the single volume pot, but what about the wires left for the tone pot? Would that cause problems, having two wires for the tone just left untouched? Should they be just cut and left, or wound and soldered together?

That schematic is for a single coil - but the concept is the same - You can always mix and match from other schematics on the seymour duncan site if you need other features, like coil taps or whatever.

That is amazing, thanks for find that. Greatly helpful.

Edit: Went off of your link and found a schematic for a humbucker in the same setup. Again, thanks
