probable whole step whole step half step etc...distance between the notes
The major scale is WWHWWWH

So start at C, a whole step from C is D, another W from D is E, a half step from E is F
etc. And you get C major
C D E F G A B C
These notes correspond to the intervals
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 1

The harmonic minor scale is
1 2 b3 4 5 b6 7 1
So for C harmonic minor, take the 3 and 6 of C major (E and A) and lower them by a semitone
So C harmonic minor is:
C D Eb F G Ab B C

Looking at the steps between these notes, you'll see that Harmonic Minor is CWDHEbWFWGHAbW+HBHC
