Extremely short (and pretty old) thing I found going through my files. Thought it was kind of cute, but maybe a little too obvious

These bitter gusts
Pierce skin and chill bone.
But I do not fear them.
I am melting.
I have seized the sun,
In a single hand.
umm thats the name of a bob seger album/song, but pretty cool anyway
Between the velvet lies, there's a truth as hard as steel.
The vision never dies, life's a neverending wheel.
"I am melting", for me, threw everything off, flow- and meaning-wise. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if the lines were seperated into triplets. I liked the first three lines, how their language fit.
