There is no "Best Producer" only personal preference it is unlikely that Metal-heads will like Fenders and Jazz player will will probably dislike Kramers. This thread is stupid, considering most of those companies are both owned by either Gibson and Fender anyway...

Ibanez, Agile, ESP, PRS, Cort, Charvel, Fender, Schecter.

There are too many, there isn't a single best make. This thread therefore, is foolish.

I am also looking into them, I want to try out the prs se custom, a couple of Michael Kelly guitars (the patirot custom and the valor X) an ibanez rg1570, a washburn x50 or maybe a shecter of some sort, I really dont know which one to get. So many awesome guitars I must collect them all
My Beginner setup:
Ibanez rg321mh

For the sake of their being a thread, that I voted on, i might as well explain my vote.

Ibanez - great guitars, especially their prestige models, although their low end models can be easily modded to be shred monsters. They're versatile, and they work well for my use.

Shecter - I'm not a personal fan, but they offer the best prices/features/quality of any big name company. Geared towards metal, shecter is a great company.

Washburn - I did some research on the washburn idol. A single cut, dual humbucker (les paul) type guitar. I've heard a few side by side comparisons, read some reviews, I honestly don't know why they aren't more popular. Easily built better than gibson, no comparison IMO.

I hope no one who voted for Gibson means their standard production, it's crap. Now their Custom Shop on the other hand, and vintage SG's, those are incredible.

This poll doesn't really work for the simple reason people have different impressions of these makers based on different qualities. For example, Ibanez J Custom and Prestige guitars are beautifully made, and rival many custom shops in quality, but the Ibanez RG350's are NOT quality guitars.

I guess everyone should judge on the maker's top quality axes.
