Has anyone ever played or owned the mid 80s built Jackson V bass with the licenced smurf-hat headstock? I assume they are rare, but I want one oh so bad. Anyone know of a place that specializes in discontiued guitars, I mean besides ebay..

If you don't know what bass I'm an talking about watch the bassist (Blackie) in this vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4Ly8nstfxo&feature=related

That must be one of the cheesiest metal videos I've ever seen, first of all. Second of all, I'm not sure if those basses were ever produced to the public, or I'd have one by now. I think it's a custom shop, to be honest.

Be sure to rape the blue note (augmented 4th). Rape it hard and exploit it like the skank it is.

Yeah, they could have used something better than MS paint to make the backgrounds.

All the manufacturers in the 'metal' set at the time made these sort of things. Hamer, Jackson, Ibanez and so on.

That one's an ally-necked Kramer.

They were usually show pieces in metal oriented guitar shops, and a few glam bands used them for real. But other than a few BCR's, god knows where the rest are! Keep your eyes peeled on eBay.
