For those of you who listen to johnny smith, how do I go about getting such a tone, as in how do I set my eq? I have a Ibanez semi-hollow, I know he used a full hollow but it should be close enough for me. Beyond that does anyone know what type of amp he used? I've really just become fascinated with his tone lately. Thanks in advance for the insights.

hey cheers man, Johnny Smith is my favorite player, I've been reppin' him for so long. A big thing about his tone that you might not realize, is his chord voicings. He always managed to hold down at least one finger when he moved from chords, and he liked the inner 4 strings. That's how he got that lazy sound. I transcribed all of Moonlight in Vermont, pm if you want a copy.
