I just got an epi les paul as a gift and it is great. The finish is great and it sounds awesome. However the string tension seems loose and there is a lot of buzzing. Are there any ideas of what this could be and any possible fixes?

try adjusting the bridge height and heavier strings for more tension

Sounds like you probably need some new strings. I have an epi les paul as well, and I have found that heavier gauge strings work better.
