I wish to record my guitar straight onto my PC. I've looked at buying something like a toneport GX after my unsuccessful attempt of:

Guitar->Amp->Adaptor->Mic port

I got stupid amounts of feedback, lag and it sounded screwed up.

I already have amplitube and I'm getting riffworks but my issue is physically getting it connected. What is the best and cheapest way to do it.

P.S. I'm buying a boss ME-50...is it possible to use this instead of my amp to connect to my pc properly? Kind of like a pre amp or something?
The gear:

* Epiphone Les Paul Custom
* Schecter Jeff Loomis Signature 7 String
* Fender Squier P Bass
* Blackstar Stage HT-60
* Original Crybaby
* EHX Small Clone
* Boss DD-3

best way while keeping quality is the toneport you are looking into.

I would stick with the toneport even if you get the ME50 unless it comes with a USB port that can stream audio down the line to the PC. But you will still get better quality with the Toneport IMO.
