Due to my own ass-backwards method of teaching myself guitar, my skills are kind of all over the place. I've played thrash and death metal for close to 8 years, but you throw any simple chord at me and I'm stumped. I'm having a bit of trouble with this riff here:

E |-13-9---9-----------------------------11-
B |--------9---9-------------11------11-----
G |---------------9---8-11------11----------

If I barre the 9 and 11, I can't mute the notes and they ring out, but, all things considered, I can't just finger each one individually. So what can I do to play this without having the notes ring?
palm mute

palm mute

I'm not a TOTAL dunce. It's not palm muted in the song, I don't want to just make up my own parts.
You need to roll you finger like the guy above me said. Although that is only if the notes in the song aren't in harmony(ringing together.)
you could move your hand around alot, the way id see this :

E |-13-9---9-----------------------------11-
B |--------9---9-------------11------11-----
G |---------------9---8-11------11----------

4 1 2 1 2 3 1 3 2 1 2 1

thats how i'd play it

I feel bad looking at porn simply because of the ol' story that a lot of those girls were molested as children, But I've never heard of midgets being molested, so it doesn't matter to me anymore, as that's the only kind of porn I watch.

i´m 100% confident the best way to play this is
4 1 1 2 2 2 1 4 1 1 1 1 lots of finger rolling there as the users above pointed out
E |-13-9---9-----------------------------11-
B |--------9---9-------------11------11-----
G |---------------9---8-11------11----------

4 1 1 1 1 1 1 3 3 3 3 3

That is how I would do it.

Possibly use the pinky instead of the ring at the end though.
Try using the
tags. It will make your tabs alot more easier to read.

Use finger mutes. It's difficult to get em right, because the timing can be pretty sensitive, but that's what I do when I need to play a series of notes like that and not have em ring out.
