I used the search bar and couldn't find much, so I thought I would ask, what are some fun songs to play in drop d. I figure that I might as well play around with this tuning because I'm learning by the way by rhcp right now for my band. Anyone got any good songs in drop d?

Most Rage Against the Machine songs. They aren't really that hard at all, but great fun.

Muse do a few songs in drop D, sadly most of them just seem to be root notes, but they sound cool.

Try Hypermusic by Muse, great riff. (Fun Fact: that riff was actually ripped from the song 'Snakecharmer' by RATM, damn you Matt Bellamy. )

Some Opeth, Lamb of God, Flyleaf (Simple but fun)

The Thing That Should Not Be is D Standard! So is Sad But True! If you play with Sad But True and you still think it's in Drop D you're deaf.

I believe hangar 18 is drop D on bass.

It might be tabbed that way, but my bet is that Ellefson played it on his 5 string. Some of the riffs that only go down to a low E later in the song would be a total b*tch in drop D, so that's why that's my belief. Pantera's "Walk" is in D standard but can be easily played in drop D.

Oh, Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen. Great track.

I agree for this one, I'm amazed no one's mentioned it yet. Fun to play, for sure. Queen's bassist was quite good if you ask me, his lines fit the music very well.
