If there's anyone familiar with the song "Deviate From the Form" on Scar Symmetry's Pitch Black Progress album, I was wondering if they could explain what's going on from a theory standpoint in that song - specifically the solo sections. I believe the progression is something like F-Eb-Db-Eb and it's got a cool Holdsworth-esque feel to it. Sorry bout the poor explanation. I've been playing for over 10 years and I am bit of a theory-idiot!

Please read the link in my sig.

As for the progression, are they all major chords, or powerchords, or are any (F!) minor chords, or what?

There are no minor chords - all major. But it has a minor feel to it when he's soloing during the Db flat section.

I took a look at the theory link and it definitely looks helpful. I will get around to reading though the whole thing (hopefully). In the meantime, I appreciate ur patience!
