Some time in the near future, I plan on upgrading my old Washburn Strat. First on the list (since it will be the easiet and cheapest) will be some of the hardware, like tuners, string trees, nut, and knobs. I will probably buy some locking tuners (probably the cheap ones on Guitar Fetish [any other good, cheap sites?]). My question is, will it be possible to take my tuners from my Les Paul (3 per side) and put them on the Strat (6 in line)? I really can't seem to find a difference between the 3 per side and 6 in line tuners (other than the obvious difference).

Thanks.

you could try it. no promises though.

you are asking the Pit.

I'm pretty sure this is GB&C.

to answer your question simply... no. the 3-3 are right and left tuners. i'm going to assume that you are right handed so your strat would be left tunes. right and left are where they are on the headstock when the guitar is facing you upright.

edit: you could do some modification to make the fit. you would be original for doing it and it might look kind of cool but other then that i say just get locking tuners.
