Some people suggested that if I were to get a ESP LTD Viper 400, I should get some new pickups to enable the guitar to play softer stuff, like My Morning Jacket or The White Stripes. I was just wondering, how much do you think I could sell the EMG's that come with it for, and what are some good pickups to replace them with, that can handle harder rocking stuff like Wolfmother or Priestess, but also the softer stuff I mentioned above. Any suggestions? I will check back on this forum quite frequently!

I suggest the Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz set. Great for rock, classic rock and metal. Vipers used to come with this set on some of their earlier models.
MARSHALL JVM 210H
PEAVEY JSX
KRANK 412
MESA 412
FENDER STRATS
DIMARZIO
CELESTION

i would say Custom 5/ Jazz combo.
Ibanez RG321MH (Air Classic/Tone Zone)
Fernandes Telecaster (Twang King/stock bridge pickup)
Blackstar HT-20 (Scumback 55 speaker/ Tung Sol tubes)
TC Electronic Nova Repeater
Lava Cables Clear Connect, Soar and Mini ELC

the Custom 5 has nice cleans. suitable for mellow music, but can still do heavier styles. it can go from jazzy tones to heavy metal tones. so its up to you to decide.

Maybe leave the bridge(81?) And then trade the 85 neck for like a coil split 89? Would be really easy from an installation stand point.

+1, I have that very same combination in my Viper and it's nice.

Maybe a '59 instead of the Jazz though, I'm not too fussed on it.
A dwarf might hear you. What then?
