What are your favorite songs to jam along to?

I love most of the Santana stuff to jam along to. Specially "Europa". That's the ultimate jam track!
Also SRV is very good to jam. Specially "So Excited" and "Mary Had A Little Lamb"

I Me Mine by The Beatles is a good one, but I'd have to say my favourite song to jam around is Green Onions.

i love jamming to europa too. awesome bend in the chorus.

since i've been loving you's a good one, so is the wind cries mary and come on (let the good times roll). except in come on let the good times roll, jimi gets out of tempo with his playing, and although it doesn't make the song sound bad, it makes everything you play sound bad, because it's on time and his stuff isn't. kinda weird that HIS stuff sounds good when it's out of tempo and your stuff doesn't.

edit- and the LEMON SONG. man, that's a good one.

no prob.

i'm not an astoundingly accomplished guitarist, so i usally just jam to stuff with simple chord progressions. like "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys.

lol oops came out wrong,
I like to play along to the intro of sweet child o' mine, and the lead parts of the other two like if you heard blvd of broken dreams it has the little 8/9 13/11 8/9 on the b string and then the solo

All Iron Maiden. Their guitarists cut through the mix very well, so it's easy to hear them, and extremely fun to play. Although it's not too difficult.. most of the time.

I really get down with alot of RHCP tracks, like Soul To Squeeze, Scar Tissue, Don't Forget Me, etc

I really love jamming to Steve Vai and the Mars Volta

I find songs written by people like Satch and Vai are easiest to jam along to.

oh, and if anyone's got that album called "the early tapes (with tony sheridan)" that the beatles did, THAT'S got like 40 minute's worth of fifties rock n' roll and rockabilly to jam to... amazing.
