could i possibly use a loaded j bass control plate for my electric? as buying one is significantly cheaper than getting a jag or mustang one, would the pots be ok for electric or would i have to get a different ohm level because of the different frequencies?

cheers

Yeah, the J Bass pots are probably 50K ohm or so, while guitar pots are usually 250K for singles and 500K for humbuckers.

Also I'm not exactly sure, the capacitor value may also be off, and you might want to check everything, just to be sure.

The pot values should be fine. The capacitor may be wrong, however.
