newbie question, recently I bought a 2x12 cab with two speakers connected in series with a total of 16 ohms. is there any way to wire the speakers to achieve a total of 8 ohms (each speaker in the cab has 8 ohms)??????? or do I need to buy two speakers at 16 Ohms each and wire them parallel to achieve a total of 8 ohms.

my amp runs at 8 ohms and I had try to run the cab at 4 ohms ( parallel wiring) and at 16 ohms ( series wiring) and I am not happy with both settings so basically I want to match the amp ohms.

any help would be appreciate it!!!!!!
thanks

Don't run the cab at 4 ohms, the cab's impedance must be equal to or higher than that of the amp
ohai little sig.

you would need to get either 2-16 ohm speaker and wire them in parallel or 2-4 ohm speakers and wire them in series to get a total of 8 ohms
