Again, my friend and I disagree. This time he said Ibanez is better and I said that Schecter is. So which one.

all of the above

it's all preference. It's like i could say my dean is better then your ibanez, just because i like my own guitar.

If you have the money for schecter... SCHECTER. Although Ibanez is great too

Is there such a thing as a heavy riff with out chugging on the e string?
#6
Schecter rules the electric category hands down, but Ibanez owns in acoustics.

yeah was weird cause she liked us both but she loved him and for some reason she let me know beforehand.

i just wanted her poon and she wanted me to have her poon.

so i had myself some poon.

Yeah, it's all preference. I prefer the thicker necks of Schecter's.
Schecter C-1 Elite
Gretsch 5120
Fender Ultra-Chorus Amp

I have a schecter, so I'm probably biased. I dunno, Ibanez is only better when you get to the $1500 range. Schecter owns everything under that. Except acoustics, like that one guy above me said...hahaha

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

well

i started learning to play guitar on my brother-inlaw's Schecter until he bought me my very own giutar which is an Ibanez

Personally i think i do like Schecters more in both acoustic and electric

but Ibanez are great too

but id prefer a schecter
#16
schecters are just way better in terms of value, for the price you pay you usually get DECENT pups unlike ibanez...

Fried chicken!

/pointless thread

The Producer beat me to it -- this thread is just noise unless you get more specific. There is probably more variation within a brand than between brands -- sort of like "races" of humanity =^)

It is a rather stupid thread. Hence +1.

It's hard to compare brands against each other since they both have an extensive catalogue of guitars and each to their own.

I like the necks of the Ibanez's, and I also like the Edge Pro a lot more then the OFR, but Schecter has better pickups then the same priced Ibanez, so I'm kind of torn between the two.

Higher Priced Ibanez are REALLY ****ing awesome...

I <3 my Schecters

I used Ibanez when I first started, but once it got to traveling around in vans etc I needed to grab some great durable axes, I found them through Schecter, that was 3 years ago and I'm still yet to be disappointed

Both companies are great, I prefer the look and feel of the Omen/C-1/Damien/Demon body though.

Schecter are my go-to guitar for awsome metal riffs...
But I love ibanez necks

Ibanez for me, better suited for my taste.
But Ibanez needs to step up their 7 string game.

MORE HARDTAILS!!!!
Would it kill them?

it all depends on preference. schecters are probably better in terms of any price. as another person said. but...the jem rules all guitars!

if it were not for the artist series, by ibanez, i`d say schecter. but the low end artist series are great guitars for the price. and stacked up against the same price ranged schecter, you get a set neck mahaogany guitar with the better ones having hotter pups all around 300- 450 dollars. i`ll admit though that the schecter bargain basement diamond series looks great and has nice features too , i just cant get past the clunky neck.
