Black Stone Cherry

Nice hard-rock band from southern Kentucky.

You should see their live shows. One hell of a great blues jam towards the end.

Black Stone Cherry are pretty good. Saw them at Summerfest recently. Great show.

Relating to the topic:

Protest the Hero
Dream Theater
Between the Buried and Me
Unearth
An Endless Sporadic

WRONG. They're metalcore. They're not even close to thrash.

Foxy Shazam! Like seroiusly they have 3 songs I don't like and everything else is just amazing. Everyone I let listen to them falls in love and the music is so moving.

To the guy above me...Dream Theater is actually pretty common.
I actually do have schizophrenia, so stop making fun of people who have it.

And those two are pretty much the two biggest prog metal bands at the moment.

Come on people. I think for this thread, if a band is on wikipedia, it most likely shouldn't be here.

Also, Demons & Wizards (more of a side-project) but the combination of Hansi Kurch's vocals and Jon Schaffer's rythms is pure aesome.

soapbox paradox, who are like a ska-punk kinda band, (currently unsinged), also the blood brothers, who are a kinda screamo-punk-alternative type band ,now defunct:-(. and there's a band called bullets to broadway who are just punk, and the loved ones are sort of springsteen-esque punnk.

none of these bands are big in the uk at the moment, although i don't know how popular they are in the us.

I remember the first time someone sigged me. IT felt great. I was like wow... people actually think i'm funny. See here on the real world it doesn't work like that.

You should probably rename this to the 'I like bands that you've never heard of and therefore I have better taste in music' thread.

Riverside. They're a prog rock band from Poland, and they sound like a blend of all of the different sounds from my favorite bands. They're so freaking amazing. No one here knows about them, though.
