Xentrix - one of Britain's best and most underappreciated thrash bands, such a shame they split up a couple of years ago.

I mean just ZOMG! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=MT4KJc0xths

Holy ****, i didnt know britian had a thrash scene, that band is amazing, i love how you can here the bass, its almost the best of Iron Maiden and Slayer merged into one.
The Mitch Clem formula
1)make jokes about rancid and NOFX (as if they dont already make fun of themselves)
2)make obvious punk puns, possibly related to food
3)make fun of Rancid and NOFX again
4)??????
5)PROFIT (and an army of internet fanboys)

Phantom Planet I guess.

There's 1 review on UG of them. They're the only alternative band that does it right.

A great heavy metal band from Sweden. Kinda like a mixture of Iron Maiden and Mercyful Fate.
#168
InMe

Their new 3rd album is prog rock at its hardest.

Still no ones going to look up the bands each of us mention so whats the point?

Martriden - Great black metal band from Montana. See "A Season in Hell"

Arcturus - Pretty cool prog metal/black metal band. See "Star Crossed" and "Alone"

Eluveitie - AMAZING folk metal band. Excellent flute playing and growling. See "Grey Sublime Archron" and "Inis Mona"

Ihsahn - Solo project by the lead singer of famed black metal band Emperor. Black-ish metal with progressive elements. See "Unhealer", feat. Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth fame

Rotting Christ - Black metal band from Greece. Songs are typically very atmospheric and are mostly sung in Greek. Also include Greek chants in some songs. See "Nemecic" and "Sanctus Diavolos"

Tyr - Epic viking folk metal band hailing from Scandinavia. Sing in both English and their native language. Great singer, and awesome guitar. See "Wings of Time" and "Regin Smidur"

Long live the metal!

Arcturus - Avant-garde/Black metal. Awesome band.
Sigh - Avant-garde/black metal from Japan. Again, quite good.
Anthelion - Symphonic Black Metal from Taiwan. Better than Chthonic.
Skeletonwitch - Thrash/Melodic Death
Anubis Gate - Prog Metal
Andromeda - Prog Metal
Pagan's Mind - Prog Metal
Spheric universe Experience - Prog Metal
Wolves in the Throne Room - Black metal
Satariel - Amazing melodic death. Criminally unheard of. SO much better than the tripe that In Flames keeps releasing.
Insomnium - See Satariel.
