I live in an apartment complex and even my frontman 15G is too loud over the 2 volume mark.

I was thinking super champ xd or a good all-tube amp around the 300$ mark.

What do you guys think about the XD for an apartment complex?

Wait for the BH Killer ant?

Apparently it's LESS than 1 watt, but i'm not quite sure.

I'd go with the 5W Vibro Champ... the Super champ at 25W is giggable, not really suitable for an apartment complex. The only other between the 2 AFAIK is that the Super Champ is footswitchable. You're not going to be cranking the Vibro Champ either, but you'll at least get a little bit of power tube saturation.

I just checked the users guide, and it looks like the Killer ant is .25 watts RMS.

Thats just plain sick. I think I might have to pick one of those beauties up. It would look so nice sitting on top of my f-30
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

Yeah, i'll probably go to my local store the minute they hit the showroom.
There's a few soundclips on Youtube of the Killer ant, and it sounds pretty darn good if you ask me!

^ I haven't seen one Blackheart around here, so I doubt i'll get to try a Killer Ant.

Wont stop me from getting it though.

As for the TS, if you want tube tone the 5 watt Fender Vibro Champ XD isn't bad. I got to try it in GC a few days ago (might have been the Super Champ XD not sure) and it sounded pretty good. I'm not a fan of modeling overall but it got some nice low volume gain tones and maintained a decent tube sound. Could work well for your needs but i'd try it out first.

If not that the Killer Ant might be worth the wait.

The good thing about the Fender is that even if you can't crank it all the way. The modeling will allow for some versatility at reasonable volumes.
