I bought a used Classic 30 about a month ago with apparent new tubes.
The amp has started making a really bad buzzing, phasing/flanging sound. Especially noticeable at higher volumes.
This problem just started.

I've ruled out the cable and the guitar as it does this with any cable, and without a guitar plugged in.
Also the reverb doesn't effect it, and it does it on both channels.

If it is a tube, I believe the only preamp tube used on both channels is V1.
Does it sound like a bad preamp tube?

What else should I look into?

Nope. And I doubt it has anything to do with the speaker being wired wrong as the problem just started.

Hard to say if it's quieter. If it is, it isn't by a lot.

I think you're probably right about it being a tube problem then. Can you swap around the tubes?

I can try that. Switch V1 with V3 so the bad tube won't effect the clean channel?

Edit: Yep, that did it. Thanks mate.
