I am going to be playing mostly progressive metal and such. I'm open to more suggestions, and have a budget of between $500 and $1200. I know that opens up alot of options, so I would like yalls opinions of what to look at.

Well, Ebay is great but It'll be a little while before I buy the amp. I'll definitley check Ebay when I get ready to buy to see if I can find any better deals. But right now, Im really trying to get a list of amps to guy try out in person before I commit to any one amp. So, Im gonna try and compile a list of all the amps in my price range that are some what around the style Im thinking of and hopefully yall can chime in on if they are worth trying out or not.

right Metallica is a given. Personally I like to pretend the bus exploded and killed them all in '86.

Are they really? I have heard some good things about them?

They're alright. I think the f series is definately better, and cheaper. Might as well try a DC series mesa while you're at it as well.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not
