This is a question that is probably fairly frequently asked but...

my guitar rattles but just on one or two strings, so how do i go about fixing that so that when i'm playing i hear better quality sounds instead of sound mixed with rattling?

That probably means your action is too low (basically, the strings are too close to your fretboard and hit the frets while you're strumming, causing the buzzing). This is an easy thing to fix on your own, but since you sound like a new guy, I'd take it to a local shop and ask them to set it up for you. It'll only cost you about $20 and you can watch them do it to see what they're doing.

If it still rattles you didn't do it right, or you need to bring it to a shop.

sounds like a you need truss rod adjustment. more neck relief. or if you have switched to larger guage strings you can always switch back.

^This guy definitely can't handle a truss rod adjustment by himself.

He's gonna wreck the guitar if he doesn't get it set up professionally.

And you're obviously here because you fancy Phill.
Phill is a very attractive guy...
