ok so my tone sounds like total crap. it hasnt always(well to me in my garage i make due) but still, my guitars tone has started to get really muddy.

my rig is a n ESP LTD EX-50 through a line 6 uber metal pedal to a squier 10 watt. i know that probably explains the bad tone already, but it never sounded muddy.

ill be getting a new amp within the next month but can anybody tell me why i maybe lost tone? please!

EDIT: guy below me gave me an idea. ive had the amp for almost three years and its been in the garage during christmas and cold winter and super hot summer. could that be it?

maybe your amp has gotten ****ter and ****ter, which i'd imagine would be hard to do because of how it is right away.

Its definitely the amp, i wouldn't expect it to be the greatest to begin with.

Have you messed with the settings on the amp or your effects lately?

Hmmm.. maybe your amp just crapped out.

I wouldnt expect it to stay perfect forever.

if its not the amp, it would be the pick ups. How old is your guitar, if it's relatively old maybe replace the pick ups if you find it doesnt get better wiht a new amp
