What is the difference between the two?
Ive been playing guitar for a while and am going to purchase a bass soon, but im curious if i need another amp with it

The amp i have now is the Vox Valvetronix AD50VT-212: 50-watt 2x12" speaker
and i really dont want to screw it up in anyway

could any1 shed some light on this?

PS the bass i want to get:

If you're asking if you can plug your bass into the guitar amp, the answer is no. It *might* be reasonably safe at low volumes, but it'd still sound like crap. Just get a bass amp.

damn

I if i was to get one, i want a real one, something that i wont have to upgrade later when i get more serious, but i don't have the job that gives me $800+ a check

guitar amps and bass amps differ in speaker frequency. you can destroy your guitar amp by plugging a bass into it at high volume.
Ibanez RG321MH (Air Classic/Tone Zone)
Fernandes Telecaster (Twang King/stock bridge pickup)
Blackstar HT-20 (Scumback 55 speaker/ Tung Sol tubes)
TC Electronic Nova Repeater
Lava Cables Clear Connect, Soar and Mini ELC
