...and a keyboard that don't make too much noise. Is there a way to silence my keyboard and mouse. Sometimes it's late at night, I'm the only one up, and when I type it seems EXTREMELY loud. Is there something I can buy that can like make it stop? Or do I need to buy another keyboard and mouse that comes with silencing features? If I do need to buy a new one, how much would it cost?

It's actually probably not that loud. Just seems like it when you're trying not to wake someone up.

A laptop.

I've never used one. Are they really quiet? Also can you buy a keyboard laptop for a desktop computer?

lol, the first thing I thought of when I read the title was the animal. I thought "why the **** would he need a mouse..."

You can find keyboards with a softer press that aren't that loud. As for the mouse clicking, most mice are pretty much the same. You may be able to find a quieter mouse though too.

Edit: To answer the question asked above, you can buy keyboards that have keys like that of a a laptop.

I was joking, but If you're interested, yeah, they are REALLY quiet, I was in the same situation as you, plus my computer chair was squeaky, so I'm on my laptop on my bed now and it's 100x easier and quieter. The keys on my PC sound like fucking Riverdance so, I'd say Laptop definatly, and if you're not typing a whole bunch but don't want to make a lot of noise, there's always On-Screen keyboard as a temporary fix.

well you could just not type your blog so furiously or click your mouse so belligerently while surfing porn.

your sig is grammatically incorrect. i would fix it so you don't look so ridiculous; hell i'm drunk and i noticed. in fact, i would get rid of it entirely 'cause it's the most embarrassing sentence i've ever read.

do you honestly think they manufacture keyboards and mice with "silencing features".

Is there like a padding or something I would put under the keyboard to silence it? I just figured out that the noise is coming from my fingers shifting across the keys, not the keys coming into contact with the base of teh board.

What's incorrect? If you find anything wrong, I'd appreciate some input. I quite like it. We each have an opinion, mine just happens to clash with yours.

Why wouldn't they? I mean phrasing it like that might sound a bit weird, but I think people in this thread got the idea.

keyboards wear out over time, the membrane pads just eventually wear down so the keys touching the contact pad and then it clicks when it hits the pcb. new keyboard time

and mice are generally noisy because of the microswitches.

want a silent keyboard? get one of those roll up ones. pain in the arse to type on, but silent
