Lately Ive been looking into a ton of different pedals, because I want a bit more versatlity on my amp, and I noticed that a rack processor might just be easier If I want to experiment with things, and gives me a wider range of sounds. Does this come at a cost of less quality effects thought. I was looking into rack units such as the TC G Major, Digitech GSP1101, Line 6 Pod XT pro guitar multi effects, maybe even a used Rocktron Prophesy if I can find one cheap enough. What are your ideas on this?

if you're new to pedals and just want to explore the possibility's of them, I would buy an multi-effect processor. you have almost any effect, not all of the same (good) quality but you get an idea of what an effect does.

Well i definitley know my way around pedals, I just want to know if its a more bang for your buck thing. Im willing to get pedals if im sacrificing tone with a processor.
