Right, so I want to learn a song tuned to..

e
b
f#
e
b
e

And as it means tuning up some strings and putting more tension on the neck i wondered if there was any other way i could tune it then capo it or something so it wouldnt do this.

thanksss

is there not a way i can jus achieve the same tuning by tuning come strings down and capo-ing?

Then capo on second fret

this.

also, you're only raising the A and D string a step each to get to this tuning. this won't do any damage to your guitar. you can tune like i quoted above and use the capo if you want, but it's not entirely necessary.

its more the fact that the strings already seem pretty tight and id prefer to just tune down and not worry about the snapping so easily, thanks for the advice!
