So, I want a new guitar. I want to spend nothing above £600. I will be playing things like Jimmy Eat World as well as Arctic Monkeys and The Wombats. Here are a few requirements:

  • Thinner neck than a Gibson SG (my current guitar)
  • Humbuckers
  • Really good quality + sound
  • Versatile

Suggest everything and anything you can think of that meets my requirements, I'll try lots of guitars if i need to before i find what i want.

I actually thought about the thinline, but i've heard it feels "cheap"

try a ibanez if you want a super thin neck. they are more of a shred guitar but you may find them comfortable and like the sound.

Yeah, that's why I posted the PRS, Although it is kind of shred oriented, it really it a super-versatile guitar, from Blues to Ska to Rock to Metal.

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

just generally japanese-made stuff is pretty high quality. there's the odd exception (i'm not that fussed on the cheaper jackson pro series instruments, which are japanese, for example), but non-export japanese-made fenders are pretty nice (any i've tried, anyway).

had a go on one earlier today and was impressed, although the neck isn't that thin, but i think it differs on the model =/

A very versatile guitar, looks good, has humbuckers like you asked, thinnish neck, good quality.

OR

Baja teles are nice guitars, versatile and telecasters are an indie favourite.

I'd personally go for the jag, but whatever floats your boat.
What I want in my rig (Bold = gear I have):
Ibanez SZ-520QM
Vintage VECJ100BK
Epiphone Dot
Laney VC15
