I know that the looser your strings are the easier it is to bend strings. I down tuned my guitar 2 steps and found it so easy to bend to full. I could do that very effortlessly. However, when I am in standard tuning the strings are tighter so they are more difficult to bend and I cannot bend to full in standard tuning, I can bend 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 but not to Full, and I want the be able to do it. Are there any exercises as such that can 'train' me to bending string to "full".

Hope that mad sence

Thanks..
Punctuation it the difference between:

Thinner strings (like 9s) are easier to bend, so you could use them 'til you feel more comfortable with it. Also, try unison bends - fret the 5 fret on B string and bend the 7 fret on G string, until you hear that the pitch is the same. Unison bends help you recognize the right pitch so you no longer do 3/4 bends, 8/13 bends etc. after a while.

Also - really basic things - force used for bending should come from your writs, use the fingers as the levers. Don't use fingers alone to bend strings, because they are too weak. Use two or more fingers to bend. That's probably all.

Let's say you're bending the 9th fret up a whole step with your ring finger. Put your middle on the 8th fret and use both fingers to bend the string. Or your middle and index finger. You won't always be able to do this depending on the song but use the technique when you can.

That

and

made sense

Just like lifting weights or running to increase stamina. Keep doing it and pushing yourself and you will get stronger.

I have 2 guitars. One strung with 10's the other with 9's. I do all my bending excercises on the 10 strung one. When I go back to my 9's, I tend to OVERBEND because my hands are used to the 10's.
