Does anybody have any recommendations of cheesy songs from like the 80s-now that my band could turn into an awesome rockin song? We already have our own version of Sweet Dreams, alot more upbeat and rockin than Marilyn Manson, though. We were thinkin about making a rock version of Jump Around by House of Pain or something like that too. Thanks Pit!

Whip It by Devo.

Kung Foo Fighting.

Bang on the Drum by Todd Rungdren (not cheesy, but you could DEFINITELY make it awesome if you rock it out a bit)

Not from the 80s, but I Want it That Way by the Backstreet Boys. I swear on all that is holy that if I ever start up an acoustic band, we WILL be covering that live.
With a name like Yakult, it has to be good. Vote Yakult.

Eye of the Tiger, I have no idea who it's by. I can imagine a black metal version of it, it could be epic. Think of something along the lines of early Samael.

if you REALLY want to improve your band alot, try to come up with some original material, and go from there. Improved writing skills are always a good thing, even if you don't play the song at a show.

Yes.
I get very tense around apples...Well, I get very tense generally. I think I've fallen into the trap of blaming fruit.

Well here's the thing...we have about 50 originals already either finished or in bits & pieces and are in the studio recording our second album. We're just looking for a hilarious song to add to our live sets & liven things up even more.
