i have a vox ad50vt and a line 6 distortion stompbox, when i turn up certain distortions it hums a lot and it is very annoying any way to fix?
my guess is it just comes with the territory. Distortion is noisy. if its not a grounding problem or anything like that, you could use a noise gate. that would be kind of a waste of money though for your rig.

Chea_man is the best.
Distortion adds noise, more gain = more noise. Some distortion is noisier than others. Could just be the line 6 is a noisy pedal. Youre also running a distortion pedal into a modelling amp. Many modelling amps dont take well to external effects pedals.

turn down the gain
