i have 11's, which are apparently light, and they are really difficult to push down. my action isnt that high, either. i get alot of buzz if i dont use alot of strength. its nearly impossible to play clean bar chords. i considered getting even lighter strings, but i dont want to lose any sound quality.
whats up with my guitar?
dont tell me its finger strength, ive been playing this thing for over 2 years.

if its too low you could adjust it the other way. That will cause string buzzing.

Is the neck warped? was the guitar exposed to extreme temperature/humidity changes?

no, its definitely not warped. and raising the action would make the issue of difficult fretting even worse. the action is so high, i cant push the string down hard enough to make it not buzz, if that makes any sense.

that to me seems like either something is warped, or its the truss rod. How long has it been like that?

Take it to a guitar tech....

It could be a lot of things...you have really old string on your guitar, it could need a truss rod adjustment, could need a saddle or nut height adjustment, it could just be a guitar that's not worth putting any money into it, etc.....

im taking it in to get looked at. im absolutely possitive its not warped. my brother is a professional guitarist, and he knows what warped necks look like. he just doesnt know how to adjust anything. its probably a combination of truss rod, nut, and saddle height.
wish me luck.
