i got bored one day and decided to start up a web comic with some of my friends. we have a few strips penciled and inked, but now we need to color them.

the only things i have right now are ms paint (yeah right, no lighting effect possibilities whatsoever) and powerpoint (haven't tried that yet)

anyway, i need a decent to good software for coloring pictures that is either cheap or free.

can anyone help?

Gimp is great. Photofilter is good too, altho not as intuitive as Gimp or Photoshop. But with some of the stuff ive seen done with it, its worth learning IMO.
