I was thinking iPod just becuase mine now is a mini which has been used to the point of now having a 5 hour battery life, and is completely filled up, to the point where when I get a new CD I need to delete other songs to make room. It has been like this for the past few months.

But if I get gear....what gear exactly???

I only have 200 USD towards this...it's from my parents. And I'll have the Furman here pretty soon, I get paid tomorrow and that will at the very least get me close.

You have great gear already. =\

That's what is making it hard to pick something out. I'm happy with all my pedals, neither guitar would improve much with a pickup swap, and they both have a hardshell case. So there rules out a lot of options. I'm of course still looking at pedals though.

As the Calgary guy said, it looks like you're set for gear; go with the mp3 player. They kick some pretty serious ass. Y'know, being able to rock out whenever and wherever.

I'd recommend a Tube Screamer, but the 6505 doesn't really have great cleans at all for it.

What about an Alesis 8 track USB Mixer?
Its a powered mixer WITH USB connectivity so it doubles as an audio interface for recording to your computer.
It's $350 AUD so maybe $200-250 USD?
Gibson Les Paul Studio
Epiphone SG Special Customshop
Jackson JS30RR

Dunlop Crybaby Original
Boss Metal Zone
Digitech Screamin' Blues
Ibanez Lo Fi
Behringer Tuner

Marshall AVT100X

My dad has an 8 track USB mixer. And AUD and USD are damn near equal, it'd be more like $345 USD. (I converted something earlier today)

I think it depends on how much you use your iPod. If you use it alot and its a hassle having the smaller one, I'd get the new one. If you only use it occasionally, I'd get new gear.
