Hey guys,
I wouldnt consider myself a beginner but im a little conserned with my technique. Ive been hearing more and more open strings when im playing leads. Ive always thought of myself as a clean not sloppy player but damned if i dont hear open string after open string when im improving or just trying to learn a song. It happens most when im changing strings...

What can i do to stop this from happening and clean up my technique?

its probably because your picking hand is to fast for your freting hand. So you play a string before your fret hand can get to it.

Play it as slow as it takes for you to be able to play it cleanly then slowly increase the speed. That's the most common way anyways ^^

well my timing is not the problem, what i believe it is, is that when i take my finger off a string it produces an open note. any solutions?

^ Slow down to where you can control it. Play slowly in control, and work your speed up.
