I'm throwing a massive party in my backyard next weekend and we're gonna have some speakers to play music.

I want to know what you people think should be on the playlist

So far I've got...

Sexpistols, ACDC, Kiss, Thin Lizzy, Ted Nugent, Motorhead, The Who, Saxon, Sammy Hagar, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Dio, Venom,

Maybe throw in some Municipal Waste for good measure :P

So yeah, recommend me a band and song please!

I usually start with some bluesy stuff whilst everyone is socialising, then when it gets going put on some cheese (michael jackson/80's stuff) so people wana dance. Then eventually sum1 puts on some pendulum/daft punk/dj shadow and we dance till everyones knackered. Then u put on some pink floyd when everyones lying around wasted and tired

That's a pretty sweet idea

But yeah I really want to avoid resorting to the ****ty music people keep playing at parties today, I'm basically lookin for the music our parents got wasted and high to back in the 70s and 80s

And new ideas to the list ; Alice Cooper and Steppenwolf

EDIT : and Hendrix

Hey Boy, Hey Girl - I can't remember who made it but it's the video with the skeletons.

Generic rap and hip-hop, music is crap but you can't help wanting to dance sometimes

If by FTW you mean for the ULTIMATE FAILURE.

Most rock music just plain isn't fun to dance to!

As much as I don't like it, rock isn't party music. And that's that. Look at techno and hip hop.

I've never heard anything like this at any party I've went to...

Sounds like everyone at the party will be wearing leather pants and denim vests. No to mention the mullets.

Finntroll - Trollhammaren and Metallica - Whiskey In The Jar

Pretty much the ultimate drinking songs out there, although you're lucky if you get to play 30 seconds of the song before its turned off and switched to some mindless techno/hip hop crap.
#33
You having a party in a trailer park or something? Who the fuck parties to Sammy Hagar?
I simply cannot take this god-awful place anymore. Goodbye to all the good people here. The rest can fuck off.

#34
You've got to throw in some World Inferno and Gogol Bordello. Also, some B-52s would be fun, just think of danceable music.
I'm the same as I was when I was six years old
And oh my god I feel so damn old
I don't really feel anything

Pretty much any song by Andrew W.K.
