Love ya Ormsby, but this one doesn't excite me very much. Maybe when it's painted I'll change my mind. But in the current state, it's not my thing.

But I'm not paying for it! haha.

Is the neck at the heel going to be shaped further to better mate with the body?

No, thats exactly how it should be... nearly three inches less timber than a strat, and an inch further back than where the cup of any players hand sits... the players hand NEVER touches the body, or curve at the heel in any way.

Yup, although Im not convinced the gold hardware will match the paintwork. My client is pretty set on his original idea, because of a guitar he lusted after when he was younger. Fair enough I guess!! We mixed the paint up together to make sure it was the correct shade, then added blue pearl and platinum pearl into the colour. It looks sweet in person, but Ive been unable to capture the correct look in photos

Cavities. Only one knob, well, a stacked pot actually, and a reverse mounted strat jack.

One humbucker, and a fixed bridge

Cavity cover recessed (it will be a stone cavity plate. Yes. Rock!)

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Dont worry, my client has already started talking about the next guitar and going for something a little more fancy. This one is for touring with. whats the point of having something too fancy if you are scared of damaging it on tour?

Its an offset, two piece body with a knot/defect. Perfect for paint. Id never clear coat or stain a piece like that. In fact, it sat around for a few years before I sold a guitar that I could use it with

Here is the neck with a clear coat on it. It was 10 minutes to closing time, and I already had the lacquer mixed, so i sprayed the neck, even though I hadn't drilled the machineheads yet. I'll drill them later.
The little drawing on the end is the \m/ horns up. Simon asked me to add that, because he has always had them on every guitar he has owned. This guitar also has a name, Lenny, which you'll see on the truss rod cover soon enough.
