I watched it, and I must say, I wasn't impressed with any of the bands until Pearl Jam got up. I thought that the Foo Fighters didn't have the vocal power to sing like Roger Daltry, and that Pearl Jam did wonders on their performance.

I'm curious to see what everyone else who watched it thought. The Who was awesome, of course.

I watched it, but I missed everything except for The Who.
Twas pretty good, but I wished there was more bands to honor than The Who.

EDIT: Oh and I saw the Adam Sandler bit before the Who played, that was kinda funny...
I never knew he could play guitar that good.

I think that there's other bands who deserved a Rock Honors show just for them more than The Who.

I would have just preferred watching The Who for two hours....

I watched most of it, and I enjoyed it. It motivated me to go out and by one of their CD's...lol

I once told a Metallica fan I liked Megadeth, and he stabbed me 42 times.

I agree with TS although Flaming Lips didn't do too bad, same with Tenacious D. Actually, so did Incubus...I didn't care for the Foo Fighters performance at all.

I liked the show. The Who are rock legends. They deserved it. Pearl Jam was the best. I wanna see rock honors for Led Zep. Can you imagine the bands that would line up to cover Zepplin?
#9
I didn't like the fact that they were only honouring The Who. I don't think that they're that deserving of an Honours show just for themselves.
But oh well, it was alright. The Who did put up a great show. Best part of the night.

It's all opinion....

But WRONG!

Sorry, but The Who are legends, John, Pete, Keith, and Roger are all masters with their respected instruments. Especially Pete, his writing was superb too....

Oh, and Pete and Roger were the BOMB. They rocked. Pearl Jam did the best covers.... I didn't know John Entwistle was dead. RIP.

Its because Eddie has had a crush on Pete Townshend for years and regularly masturbates to photos of him while singing My Generation.

I read it in an interview.

In their prime, or would you just like to watch Pete Townshend surfing the web for child pornography, Roger dancing around with a walker while singing "I hope I die before I get old" and two graves?

I love you =] I can't say I was very fond of you when we first started talking because you trolled the hell out of my threads, but after talking to you here I've grown very attached to you.

Yeah, write to my fanclub about it, honey.

........

Like I said, I would prefer just watching The Who instead of covers.

Well, hey, they are great, no denying that whether I personally like them or not.

I just thought that it showed a level of 'unfairity' (if that's a word). I mean, I know that Queen definately deserved their own show.
So yeah, just a bit unfair I think.
Otherwise good show.

Wow. I missed it. big bummer. I was wanting to see that. I really like the who. Saw them live a few years back and they're still amazing (Roger can't quite hit the notes like he used to on the live albums, but hey)

I hated Tenatious Ds version of Squeeze Box. Jack black needs to take his singing a little more seriously. Foo Fighters were my favorite band that did a cover. The seemed empty without Entwistle though. altogerther it was alright. I love the who though.

i figured it would be **** and i opted not to watch it. i can't stand mediocre bands destroying classics. i'm counting on them replaying it about 6000 times, i'll catch tidbits here and there.

*flame shield*

actually, a simple shield isn't going to be enough to hold off foo fighter fan boys...er,

i thought it was pretty ****ty considering daltry can't sing any more and townshend is far over rated, i respect that he writes good songs but as a guitarist he's held in much higher regard than i think he should be
