i need something slightly smaller then my peavey for bed room playing, also over drums and jamming so it still needs to be loud too, so i was looking at bugera, 60 watts i think? and they seem like a good value

the 333xl or the 6262

but i need teh high gainz0rzs so anybody have any opinions on it?

if you want warm overdrice go for the 333XL, if you want shard thrashy distortion go for the 6262

I wouldn't say the 6262 has thrashy distortion, more of a Melodeath/Gothenburg/5150 sound.

Those amps are as loud as the original Peaveys though.

well thats a sound i like, so 6262 it is i guess, i dont really like warm overdrive sound

and the trashy-er (at least) sound should suit me better seeing as how i have an minuature set list of metallica i use for warming up xD

it's said the 333 is modeled after the JSX while the 6262 is modeled after the 5150. So try those out to get a reference point. They are about 85 watts. They are not 120 watts. That is the peak output.

hey man. the bugeras are all 120 watt all tube amps man not 60 watts.
i have the 6262-212 combo i use along side my 5150 II half stack and my 19922 channel Dual Rectifier. its a great amp man. really shreds, plenty of enough gain for metal man. has that 5150 sound to it, with planty of gain leftover.

id go with the 6262

hey man. the 6262 is def. 120 watts man. its louder then my 5150 II and my Mesa and those are both 100 watt amp heads.

have you played on one before?

i havent played on thats why i asked, theres only a few local shops and like 1 guitar center and 1 sam ash and even they are pretty small nothing bur fenders and ibanez's gibsons schecters and jacksons, and as far as amps go, some b-52s marshalls and mesa's thats it besides some low end crates and raven amps and spiders

the Bugera 6262 is def worth it. most of the time you have to end up getting on online. i got mine from Sam Ash.com but i heard AMS.com has a extended warranty they offer with it. so you get a 2 year warranty with them.
