Buy the PRS instead, it'll be well worth it.

+5 EMGs are crap in my opinion. Plus, you'll to do a whole bunch of extra wiring crap if you're going from passive to active.
Bands to see before I die:
Iron Maiden
Foo Fighters
Megadeth
Reel Big Fish
Rush
Streetlight Manifesto

Gear:
Epi LP Standard
Washburn Strat
Line 6 Spider (Yes, I know it's bad)

GAS:
Ibanez RG3570Z
Digitech Whammy

+1 but i put my 85 in the bridge and it was a little dissapointing, but you might like it, it gets rid of the tight bottom end emgs are known for

At any rate im just trying to get more tone despite the wiring i have a reputible guitar shop to do the work. I realize the amp im using is not help probably put i have played an SG on my current amp and it sounded way better than my raptor. I was also wondering what kind of wood my guitar is made of. im pretty sure the neck is maple and the fretboard is rosewood, but i dont know about the body
