Hey UG, I recently bought a 250k volume pot and decided to replace my humbucker with a single coil and I was wondering whether it matters if the soldering is messy at all?

thanx, striker

I wouldn't think that it matters too much, as long as everything is attached.

I don't know anything about soldering in guitars though, I've only ever built little things or fixed things around the house.

having put my own emgs in, like he said it doesnt matter how messy it is as long as everything is attached correctly but it makes me feel bad when i pop the back off my esp and see how neat that is xD

It's doesnt matter too much as long as the solder isnt touching any other wire.

Just go for it aslong as it all works!
My solder jobs look like crap though...
