Anyone tell me how I can learn to decipher what is not tabbed out in the tab books I own? I am sure we have all seen these books. GW magazine does almost the exact same thing. I dont have a college degree in music theory. I cant read the musical notes they put in those song books. I read the tab fine, but not that part.
It makes for a irritating guitar practice trying to read half a song that is not tabbed out in a book that clearly says, "Tablature..."

I am expecting the smartass comments. I dont really want them though.

(stupid question) do you mean that the book only gives the notes like piano sheet music and you want to decipher it to guitar?

First of all, that wasnt the stupid question. My question was the stupid question. But to answer your question, yes, thats pretty much what I meant.

(Is that a record for saying the word,"question" in 2 sentences?)
