I was thinking about getting it, I thought it looks cool, but dont know about sound

I am pretty good at guitar now(I've played almost 2 years), I can do hammer-ons well, not so great at pull offs, I like tremolo picking, and I play mostly classic rock and hard rock, so What other guitars would you recommend, what amps? etc...

Thanks~

That's more like a metal guitar but get it if you like...

not good at pull-offs at almost 2 years of playing? Do a downward motion with the finger your pulling off

LOL, for some reason the impression I get from you is like some wacky Frank Zappa of metal pulling pranks at the Grammys and telling crude jokes during interviews.

I wouldn't reccomend that guitar for rock, it's a very metal guitar really.

for rock, go for Les Pauls, SG's, etc, ya know, the classic shapes

at the end of the day, it's up to you and what you think really, personally I prefer going into a shop and trying things out to see if I like them.

I'm not crazy with the shape; however, I've played a custom Tele with the same specs, except with a traditional neck PU and it slayed through a Fender amp clean and through a H&K TriAmp if you want brutal. I was surprised because Paulownia wood is pretty inexpensive or used on inexpensive guitars.

Good Luck!

well my first year I took lessons at school, and the teacher only managed to teach me like 6 chords through the whole year, he sucked, so then I started looking at other stuff, I'm okay at them, there just not my forte.

Well then, the best option would to have one guitar that's good at both; why carry two guitars that do different things when you can have one that does both!

Can you afford that?

You know, I've been adivising people to get that guitar quite a lot recently...

i wouldnt reccomend it. you get what you pay for with guitars. everyonce in awhile you'll get one that sounds good, but more often than not, a cheap guitar will feel/sound cheap.

if you can afford them, try looking at schecters. i dont know your price range so i cant exactly reccoment you one, but take a look.

yeah dude not to burst your bubble, I'm the biggest supporter of Dean on here, but for what you want I would go with something else like a Lp or if you have enough money a Soltero or Caddy that dean makes there nice guitars.

but play and see what you like the most.
